For Pakistani nationals, Dubai’s official immigration information specifically lists a national identity card among the documents required for certain nationalities, including Pakistan, for tourist visa applications.

For single-entry tourist visas, GDRFA currently lists AED 200 for 30 days and AED 300 for 60 days, plus applicable charges.

So, if someone quotes you a higher amount in Pakistan, don’t automatically assume that the entire amount is a government visa fee. Ask for a proper breakdown of the government fee, service fee and any other charges.

Can You Apply for a Dubai Visit Visa Yourself?

For many standard tourist visa categories, the application may need to be submitted through an approved tourism establishment or other authorised channel rather than simply applying as an individual in the same way you would apply for a normal online government document.

GDRFA Dubai states that its tourist visa services can be accessed through its digital channels, but certain tourist visa categories are issued through tourism establishments.

So, before paying an agent, first check which visa category you are applying for and who is authorised to submit that application.

One Important Tip: Verify Your Visa Yourself

Whenever your visa is applied for or approved, don’t simply trust a screenshot or WhatsApp PDF sent by an agent. Ask for the proper application or reference details and verify the status through the relevant UAE government system.

Dubai Visit Visa for Husband and Wife

A Marriage Registration Certificate (MRC) can be useful as supporting evidence for a husband-and-wife application. However, whether attestation is required depends on the purpose of the visa and the specific application. Do not assume that every visit-visa application requires the same attestation process.

If your future plan is to apply for UAE residency or another immigration process, document attestation requirements can be different. Therefore, make sure you check the requirements for that specific future application as well.

Dubai Visit Visa for Children

This is one of the visa categories that people can apply for through the official Dubai immigration system, subject to the requirements.

According to the official GDRFA Dubai service page, the 5-year multiple-entry tourist visa requires documents including:

• Six-month bank statement
• Health insurance
• Round-trip ticket

Applicants must also provide evidence of a bank balance of US$4,000 or its equivalent over the six months before applying.

Can You Apply for the 5-Year Visa Yourself?

Yes, this is one of the options where you can use the official Dubai government digital channels rather than depending entirely on a private agent.

You need to prepare your documents yourself, including your bank statement, passport, photograph, insurance and travel ticket.

GDRFA currently lists an application process through its digital channels, including its website and smart services.

Because government fees and requirements can change, always check the official GDRFA page before submitting your application.

Dubai Visit Visa Through a UAE Resident Sponsor

Another category is for people who already have a family member or friend living in the UAE.

For example, a UAE resident may be able to apply for a visit visa for eligible relatives or friends, depending on the relationship and the applicable sponsorship requirements.

The UAE’s ICP currently lists different salary thresholds depending on the relationship. For a resident-sponsored visit visa, the listed minimum monthly salary is AED 4,000 for first-degree relatives, AED 8,000 for second- and third-degree relatives, and AED 15,000 for friends. Proof of the relationship is also required where applicable.

GDRFA Dubai also has separate services for visits by relatives and friends, with 30-day, 60-day and 90-day options depending on the category.

Visiting Your Wife, Children, Parents or Siblings
